Step 2. What Pre-trib proclaims
What
Pretribulational Doctrine says:
Let's begin by listing out a
few of the key principles of pre-trib.
That Christ could come at anytime,
known as the doctrine of Imminency.
That the rapture will occur prior
to the tribulation, or the seventieth week of Daniel.
The Church is not appointed unto wrath;
therefore, believers cannot go through the tribulation.
That the Holy Spirit will be taken out
of the world prior to the tribulation.
That people will be saved during the
tribulation, although the Holy Spirit is taken out of the world.
That the 144,000 elect Jews will be
sealed and lead people to salvation during the tribulation.
That Gods wrath will be poured
out during the tribulation, including the Vial and Trumpet Judgments.
The start of the Tribulation marks
the beginning of the Day of the Lord.
A Pre-Trib
Timeline of Events:
The first thing to notice about the Pretribulational timeline is that no other event
occurs prior to the Day of Christ or the Rapture. Second, the Day of the Lord
starts at the same time as the tribulation. Third, notice that God's wrath is poured out
during the tribulation in the form of the vial and trumpet judgments. Last, Christ Second
coming follows the tribulation.
The following are a few questions a pre-trib believer
should ask him or herself:
Are
there any verses in the Bible which obviously show that the
rapture precedes the tribulation?
Are
there any other events which must precede Christs return to Rapture the Church?
What
verse(s) clearly teach that the Holy Spirit will be removed prior to the Tribulation.
If
the Holy Spirit is removed prior to the tribulation, how are believers saved during
the Tribulation?
When
is the sun and moon darkened, what events come before and follow this dramatic event?
When
does the Day of the Lord (God's wrath) begin?
When
are the 144,000 sealed, before or after the tribulation.
