Lets get started!
How do you eat an elephant? Answer: one bite at a time. Each page of
this website is intentionally kept relatively short so that it could be more easily
digested. The study of end time events is no small undertaking, there are so many rabbit
trails that it is very easy to get lost. One question seems to easily leed to a hundred
others, and before long you can get quickly confused and flustered. Lets start by
describing the path we are going to take in this section.
Step 1. How many days are in a year?
If you've never studied eschatology the answer might
not be what you think.
Step 2. Definition of terms
We will define a few of the terms used when describing end time events, some are
controversial, others are widely agreed upon by both pretribulationalist and
posttribulationalist.
- Step 3. Pre-trib doctrine and timeline defined
We will examine the basic structure and timeline of the events
of the Pre-trib view. Keep in mind that this is very basic, much more detail will be
brought out later in more detailed timelines, but for the sake of simplicity some events
were not included.
- Step 4. Post-trib doctrine and timeline defined
Here we will examine the basic structure of the Post-trib view of events,
again keep in mind that this is a very basic diagram and many events are not
included.
- Step 5. Day of Christ defined
Here we will look at the Day of Christ(the rapture), what characterizes it, where it is
mentioned in the Bible, and what events must come prior to it.
- Step 6. Day of the Lord defined
Next, we will examine the Day of the Lord, we will see that it is characterized
by wrath from God. We will study the references in the Bible to it, and see what events
come before and after it.
After this, we will kick it up a notch in Stage 2 and start getting into an "In Depth
Study" of the Day of Christ, the Day of the Lord, the doctrine of Iminency and much
more.
